Step 4: Backup QMS Database

The QMS Upgrader will automatically back up local SQL Server instances of the QMS SQL database if the database server is running on the same system as the QMS Data Service. If the SQL database is on a different server or is a Postgres database, you should manually create a backup of the database immediately prior to running the upgrader.
