Supported Products

The CiscoUCCEConnectorService.ConnectorKind app setting names the product: UCCE or UCCX. An absent or unrecognized value means UCCE, so a configuration written before UCCX support behaves as it always did. The installed configuration ships with UCCX.

<add key="CiscoUCCEConnectorService.ConnectorKind" value="UCCX" />

These settings take a per-product default when they are absent from the configuration:

The product chosen in QMS

The UCCE or UCCX product can also be chosen in QMS: in General Settings, under Contact Center Integration, select either Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise or Cisco Unified Contact Center Express as the contact center product. When the product is selected in the QMS web client, the Connector gives precedence to that selection (over the ConnectorKind app setting) to determine the trigger rules it applies, the parameters it publishes and the EventToUserMap default. It learns of a change within one configuration poll and needs no restart. With no Cisco product chosen in QMS, ConnectorKind applies.

When the two disagree, the Connector logs a warning naming both, and the ConnectorKind app setting should be updated to match.

The product chosen in QMS does not change the CTI session settings (the port, CtiProtocolVersion and the client credentials) because the session is actively using them. A session setting that is missing from the configuration takes the default for the product specified by ConnectorKind. If the product chosen in QMS is a different one, the Connector logs a warning listing each such setting. To correct it, choose the product in the Configuration Tool, which writes these settings for that product, or set them manually in the configuration file, and then restart the Connector.

A change of product while the Connector runs also asks for a restart, because the session was opened as the previous product.
