Configuration Tool

The Cisco UCCE Connector Configuration Tool (CiscoUcceConnectorConfigurationTool.exe), installed beside the Connector, edits the CTI server addresses and ports, the QMS Recording Servers, logging, and the product. Run it as administrator, since the configuration file is in the installation folder. Other settings are edited in CiscoUCCEConnectorService.exe.config.

  • Product: choosing UCCX or UCCE and saving writes ConnectorKind, CtiProtocolVersion, CtiClientID and CtiClientPassword with that product’s values. A port still at the other product’s default moves to the new product’s. An EventToUserMap that is exactly the previous product’s default is removed, so that the new product’s default applies; one that differs from it was written by hand, and is kept. When the product is not changed, these settings are left as they are, so values set by hand are kept.

  • Logging: the level (Log.FileLogLevel), Keep Logs (days) (Log.MaxLogDays), Archive (days) (Log.ArchiveLogDays) and Rollover, Daily or Hourly (Log.RolloverInterval). A setting missing from the file is shown with the value the Connector uses. Saving also removes the log settings of releases before 12.3 (Log.FileLogQualifiedName, Log.FileLogMaxKB, Log.FileLogMaxBackups, Log.EventLogLevel, Log.TruncateOnOpen), which nothing reads any more.

  • The tool supplied with earlier releases fails at startup on an installed system, because it looked for the Connector at a developer’s path. Use the current tool, or edit the configuration file.
