Step 16 – Configure Remote Storage Location

Select the Services Page under the QMS Administration and edit both the Primary and Secondary Call Recording Service to define a remote storage location. Under Storage Policy, select the "Transfer files to a remote storage location". Then edit the Location, username, and password fields to provide access to that location. Both the primary and secondary QMS Servers need access to that file location and should be configured in the same way.

Next, under Schedule, likely you will want to select the "Transfer immediately after recording" option. This will immediately place the file on the remote file location. The Remote Storage Location is assumed to be setup with appropriate RAID or Disk Mirroring to ensure that the storage is both highly available and redundant.

When a call is recorded, QMS Call Recording Service will write that file locally on both the Primary and Secondary nodes. Once the call has ended, QMS will convert the file to the appropriate media and, assuming the Transfer Immediately option is selected, that file will be transferred to the Remote Storage Location.

Once configured, restart QMS services on Primary and Secondary Servers.
