A Data Collector is usually a remote site installation of the same Quality Management services that run on a main server, except there is no database and there is no Enghouse Interactive Data Service. Data Collectors provide a way of capturing call control and audio for agents outside of the main site network. They also allow capturing disparate PBX traffic on a single Quality Management system.
Call Recording Service - This is the only Quality Management service that needs to be installed on a Data Collector.
Data Service - This is a central service that manages SQL database access and Client connections. It only needs to be installed on main Quality Management Servers (not needed on Data Collectors).
