Deleting Group Types

Users with the Add/Edit Groups permission in their Security Profile can delete group types.

To delete a group type, click the navigation icon and then click the Groups link from the administration sub-menu. The Groups tab displays containing the list of group types and groups. To delete a group type, complete the following steps:

1. Click the Delete button in the group type row of the group type you wish to delete.

2. A new dialog will open with Delete Group Type as the tab title.

3. Click the OK button located at the bottom right of the delete group type dialog. The dialog will close.

The predefined group types, Department and Location, cannot be deleted. In addition, any group type with a member group cannot be deleted.
