Configuring Quality Management for Avaya S8x00 Series

Requirements

To configure Quality Management for Avaya S8x00 Series, complete the following steps.

  1. Obtain the appropriate TSAPI client from Avaya or Telrex support. This version works for Avaya AES 3.x and 4.x: http://telrexsupport.com/builds/AvayaTsapiTool/tsapi-client-win32-3.1-176.zip.

  2. Invoke the TSAPI client installer on the Call Recording Server. The TSAPI client installer will ask for the IP address of the AES Server.

  3. Run the TSAPI test tool to confirm that TSAPI is now properly configured between AES and the Call Recording Server.

    1. By default, this is installed here: \Program Files\Avaya\AES.

    2. Enter the administrator username and password.

    3. Enter two extension numbers for a test call. Verify call success.

  4. Using Regedit add the following string values in the registry using regedit.

    1. Navigate to the CallRex portion of the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Telrex\CallRexPro.

    2. Add this as a REG_SZ string: TSAPIServer. The value is the AES Server String from TSAPI Spy Application. Example: AVAYA#CMSIM#CSTA#AWSSIM.

    3. Add TSAPIUser as a REG_SZ string. The value is the AES username with administrator rights.

    4. Add TSAPIPassword as a REG_SZ string. The value is the corresponding password.

  5. Restart the Quality Management Services. See KBA 1001 - Quality Management Services restart steps.

  6. Place test calls and verify that they were recorded.
