On Demand Call Transcription
Users with the Playback Recording and Transcribe Now permissions in their Security Profile can initiate a transcription of a previously un-transcribed call on demand. For details regarding On Demand Transcription Settings see On Demand Transcription Settings
To transcribe a call click the navigation icon. The Recordings tab displays containing the search criteria bar and the search results table. Complete the following steps:
- Define the search criteria.

Click the Search button. The call recordings satisfying the search criteria are listed. Calls without transcriptions will display this icon:

Left click the recording you wish to transcribe and click the Transcribe button in the context menu. Multiple recordings can be selected and transcribed at once.

Wait for the transcription to complete (could be several minutes)

Reload the tab when completed to display the transcription. If the transcription is still in progress a warning message will continue to display until the transcription is complete.
Alternatively, transcription can also be triggered from the recording details tab. To do this, complete the following steps:
- Define the search criteria.

Click the Search button. The call recordings satisfying the search criteria are listed. Calls without transcriptions will display this icon:

Left click the recording you wish to transcribe and click the Details button in the context menu. The recording details tab is displayed, the tab name contains the user’s name and the date and time of the recording.

Hover over the audio player to reveal the audio playback controls and click the button.

Wait for the transcription to complete (could be several minutes)

Reload the tab when completed to display the transcription. If the transcription is still in progress a warning message will continue to display until the transcription is complete.
