Tenants
The Tenants section allows you to segregate your QMS web client into tenants. A multi-tenant license must be applied before unlocking this functionality.
Multi-Tenant Concepts
-
The Provider is a master tenant. Users belonging to this tenant would typically be global administrators responsible for managing the other tenants. Recorded users are not expected to belong to this tenant.
-
A Tenant contains users, recordings, evaluations and scorecards that are isolated from other tenants in the system. A tenant user should not be aware that other tenants exist in the QMS system.
-
The Tenant Administrator security profile is a default profile created when multi-tenancy is licensed for the first time, for the purpose of controlling the access permissions of your global administrators.
-
The Global Administrator user account (globaladmin) is a default account created when multi-tenancy is licensed for the first time. This account belongs to the Tenant Administrator security profile and is a member of the Provider tenant.
Applying a Multi-Tenant License
The first time you apply a multi-tenant license your QMS system will be re-configured for tenants. This process cannot be reversed (i.e. you cannot go back to a single tenant system).
After applying the license all existing users, recordings and evaluations will be migrated to a new tenant called Tenant 1 (can be renamed). This includes the user you are currently logged in as, so to continue setup you must logout and then log back in with the newly created Global Administrator account (username: globaladmin, password: globaladmin)
