There are two Windows Services needed for the proper operation of CallRex. These services start up automatically when the server is booted up.
CallRex Call Recording Service - Handles the actual recording of calls.
CallRex Data Service - Required on the Server. Communicates with SQL Server and the Call Recording service. This service is not present on a Data Collector.
Click the Windows Start. From the menu, select Run and in the field type in Services.msc.
If Run is not present, type Services.msc in the Search box and click OK. The Services window is displayed with a listing of all the services available in your server.
Scroll down the list until you see the CallRex Services. Look under the Status column and you should see Started next to each CallRex service.
To stop the CallRex Services, start with the CallRex Recording Service. This is usually the first one in the list. Right-click on the service name. A menu is displayed. Select Stop. Note that the Status column changes and is now empty adjacent to the service that you stopped. Proceed to the CallRex Data Service and stop it in the same way.
When all services are stopped, you may now restart the services. Begin with the CallRex Data Service. It must be started first. Right-click on the name and select Start. Wait until you see Started in the Status column before proceeding. Continue to restart the CallRex Call Recording service.
When all CallRex services are started, login to the CallRex client and check for the proper operation.
If Services do not stop or start properly, you will nee to reboot the server.
You may need to be logged into the Server as administrator to Start and Stop Services.
If you get an error message saying that the Service did not stop. Try again. If you get the error message again, reboot the server.
If when starting the services, you see Starting instead of Started, it means that the service is failing to start. You will need to reboot the server.
