Adjusting the Call Audio Volume

Sometimes the volume from a specific phone handset or voice gateway can be too quiet or too loud, resulting in recordings where one party is loud and the other party is quiet. If this consistently happens, you can adjust the audio volume of all calls from that IP address.

This is a two step process: first define the IP address and then define the volume adjustment. Once you have defined an adjustment, it is elementary to change it.

To adjust the Audio Volume of an IP address:

  1. In the navigation bar, click Administration > General. The General page is displayed.

  2. In the Volume Adjustments section, click Add New Address. A new row is created in the list of IP addresses.

  3. Enter an IP Address.

  4. Drag the slider to define the Volume Factor between 0.5 (half volume) and 2.0 (double volume).

  5. Click Save.

Select an IP address and move the slider to change the settings. Select an IP address and click Delete to delete the settings. Remember to click Save afterwards.
