Installing the RTP Data Collector Service

RTPDataCollector is installed on every end-user machine where Office Communicator 2007 resides or on the server itself, depending on the installation type. Check the Deployment Options on OCS 2007 R2 section for more information on the types of supported deployment types. The RTP Data Collector service captures the audio packets and sends it to the corresponding CallRecording service provided during installation.

To install the RTP Data Collector Service, complete the following steps.

1. Double-click the RTPDataCollectorServiceInstaller.msi. The RTP Data Collector Service installation wizard displays.

2. Click Next. The License Agreement screen displays.

3. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement to continue installation.

4. Click Next. The Destination Folder screen displays. If desired, click Change to browse and select a different destination folder location.

5. Click Next. The Confirmation Installation screen displays.

6. Click Next. The Installing RTP Data Collector Service screen appears and then the ConfigureForm screen displays.

7. Enter the machine name or IP address of the Call Recording host and click Next. The Installation Complete screen displays.

8. Click Close.
